Of Kalamazoo Elizabeth Josephine Van Order was born June 28, 1918, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Joseph and Stella Baker Meyler. She went home to be with her Lord on November 4, 2010, in Kalamazoo. She was a longtime member of Calvary Bible Church and for many years had been active in Senior Groups at church. On May 20, 1944, she was united in marriage to Carroll W. Van Order who preceded her in death on February 1, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Jalane Van Order of Kalamazoo and David Linda Van Order of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Justin, Jayson, Kevin and Kristen. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, where a funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday. Interment will follow in Mt. Home Cemetery in Otsego. Memorials in Elizabeth's memory may be directed to Meals on Wheels.
