MARINER, Elizabeth Anne ?Liz? Kalamazoo, MI Liz passed away peacefully at Rose Arbor Hospice on May 21, 2007, after a long and courageous fight against cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends, including the love of her life, David Magerlein, her husband for twenty wonderful years. She is also loved by her brother, Frank Mariner of Ames, IA, Barney & Claire Magerlein of Kalamazoo, MI, Jim & Joyce Magerlein of Kalamazoo, MI, Suzanne Magerlein of Chicago, IL, John, Karen and Tom Magerlein of Yorktown Heights, NY, and her extraordinary friends, Sue, David, Nellie and Katie Farrington of North Kingstown, RI, Midge Lewis of South Haven, MI, and Nancy Clark of Texas Township, MI. Liz was an avid and enthusiastic weaver and knitter, and belonged to the Weaver?s Guild of Kalamazoo and Moonbeamers. Liz loved to travel and snorkel, and was a great lover of books, music and art. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will take place at a time and place yet to be announced. The family requests that no flowers be sent, and memorials be directed to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation/Education for the Arts Endowment Fund, 151 S. Rose St., Suite 332, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 or a charity of one?s choice. Kalamazoo Mall in Kalamazoo, MI. Liz was the wife of David Magerlein. We will celebrate Liz's life by coming together to remember and share stories, anecdotes, and tales about Liz and our association with her. Please feel free to dress casually. All, especially weavers, are encouraged to wear something colorful and handmade. Cookies and punch will follow.
