Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012. She was born November 13, 1930 in Madison, IN, the daughter of William R. and Nellie L. Cash Alvey and was a resident of the Kalamazoo area since 1948. She was employed by the Kalamazoo Valley Intermediate School District, working at the Croyden School and retired in 1990. Betty was an active member of the West Oshtemo Baptist Church and served as the Vice-Queen of the Red Hatters Club, which was a passion of hers. She was a loving Grandmother and Great grandmother, loved working in her garden and taking care of her home, where she enjoyed having family gatherings. Betty also loved quilting and sewing for her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald R. Cluster; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Larry Kathleen Earles, Pam Terry Romine, Dan Nancy Earles, Anthony Diane Earles and Rosemary Stan Turner; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three step-children, Ron Cluster, Randy Cluster and Gary Yvonne Cluster; one sister, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Following a committal service at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, a Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday at the West Oshtemo Baptist Church, 10460 West KL Ave., with Rev. John Hill officiating.
