Elizabeth May Becker

BECKER, Elizabeth May Of Galesburg Passed away Wednesday evening, December 13, 2006. Elizabeth was born November 25, 1914 in Charleston Township, MI the daughter of Floyd and Maida Henson Coville. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years with the First National Bank now National City. Elizabeth was a member of the Galesburg United Methodist Church and was involved with the Genevieve Circle. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, bunco club, and traveling. On June 20, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ellis Becker who preceded her in death on April 18, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Marie Wheaton. Surviving are her 3 sons, Lanson Linda Becker, Mark Patience Becker, Douglas Carolyn Becker; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, especially her niece Joanne Wheaton. Services will be held 11:00 o?clock Monday at the Galesburg United Methodist Church, 111 W. Battle Creek St. with Rev. Mona Joslyn officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Galesburg. Friends may meet the family Saturday evening from 6-8pm and Sunday from 2-4pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. Memorials may be directed to the Galesburg United Methodist Church.
