MANGE, Mrs. Elinor J.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Thursday morning December 11, 2008. Elinor was born March 7, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan a daughter of Herman and Dena Vermaire Battjes. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2005, coming from Aracadia, MI. She was employed with the Lansing Public Schools years ago. She was also a member of the Aracadia United Methodist Church and locally the Third Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. On April 16, 1949, she was united in marriage to Charles V. Mange who survives. Also surviving, 3 sons, Kenneth Ellen Mange of Portage, David Rosemary Mange of Kalamazoo, and James Ellen Stehouwer Mange of Silverdale, WA; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Phillip Marilyn Battjes of Grand Rapids; a sister, Marcia Dean Boot of South Haven; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock on Saturday, December 27, at the Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 Winchell Ave. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Leukemia Foundation or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
