Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday morning January 10, 2008. Elinor was born July 15, 1923 in Petoskey, Michigan a daughter of Clarence and Iva Sutherland. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 60 years and was employed with J.C. Penney for 10 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy E. Lemon on June 5, 1995; 2 brothers, Francis and Ronald Sutherland; and 2 sisters, Leah and Mary Lou Sutherland. She is survived by 2 children, Joseph Judy Lemon of Galesburg and Mary Lemon of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, Shayne Sarah Stolk, and Kitty and Marty Lemon; 2 great-grandchildren, Chelsea Cotter and Emily Stolk; a sister, Donna Vince Hepner of Sturgis; 2 brothers, Clarence Mary Sutherland of Mattawan and Lee Roy Bobbie Sutherland of Climax; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 West Battle Creek St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday. Interment will be in Cook Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
