KLOOSTERMAN, Elias, Jr.
of Kalamazoo Went to be with his Lord, July 5, 2010 at Heartland Health Care Center. He was born November 29, 1927 in Kalamazoo, to the late Elias Lena Kloosterman, Sr. Elias was united in marriage on December 10, 1948 to Evelyn Crummel, who survives. Elias served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 until honorably discharged in 1946. He especially loved woodworking and his grandchildren. Also surviving Elias are his children, Dennis Marcia Kloosterman of Grand Rapids, Gordon Sue Kloosterman of Climax and Brian Amber Kloosterman of St. Albans, WV; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Harry and Bob Kloosterman; sisters, Lena Dotterty and Josie Vander Roest; and many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A Memorial Service will take place Monday, 11:00 o'clock at Texas Corners Bible Church, 7780 S. 8th Street, Kalamazoo MI 49009, Pastor David Thompson, officiating. A private burial will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in Elias's name may be directed to the church.
