of Lititz, PA
formerly of Kalamazoo Eleanor M. Taylor, 91, quietly passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Moravian Manor. She was the wife of the late C. Sheridan Taylor, who passed away in 1984, and the late Lawrence Brigance who passed away in 2008. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence T. and Ada E. McCrumb Westenhiser. Throughout her very long and active life, Eleanor enjoyed bowling, china painting, ballroom dancing and porcelain doll making. She enjoyed traveling and visited many countries in the world.
She is survived by her children: Terry L. married to Evelyn Taylor of Moneta, VA, Lynne C. married to John Lane of Northville, MI, and Nicki married to Vern Marten of Lititz, Pa., her 7 grandchildren, and her 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel L. Taylor, in 1990. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Moravian Manor for all of the love and tenderness shown to Eleanor while in their care. Friends will be received on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 1030-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment at the Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery Chapel in Kalamazoo, MI on January 31 at 1:00 pm for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Eleanor's memory to Moravian Manor Herrnhut Unit, 300 W.
