ROEDER, Mrs. Eleanor J.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Tuesday morning August 12, 2008. Eleanor was born August 23, 1925 in Bangor, Michigan a daughter of Norman and Mabel Righter Boyer. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Mead Products for 14 years before retiring. She also worked at the Portage Medical Center years ago. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was active in many church programs including the Mission Board. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald E. Roeder on February 16, 2008; 2 sisters, Edith Sill and Louise Varvir; and a step daughter, Janice Meyer. She is survived by a son, Rodney Iletha Poolman of Marcellus, MI; a daughter, Robin Glomski of Kalamazoo; a step daughter, Elaine Dana Tremblay of Kalamazoo; a step son, Ronald Carol Roeder of Colorado; a step son-in-law, Robert Meyer of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marjorie Albertyn of South Africa and Mabel VanderMolen of Lawrence, MI; a brother, Lyle Boyer of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Friday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2031 East Cork St. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
