DENSMORE, Eleanor J.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away October 24, 2008 at Friendship Village in Kalamazoo. She was born June 24, 1917 in Detroit, to the late Christian and Elise Petersen Nielsen. She married Jack Densmore, in California, on November 21, 1942. Jack preceded her in death on August 6, 2008. Eleanor became a Registered Nurse, receiving her training at Ford Hospital in Detroit. She also attended Wayne State University. She continued to help others for 60 years until finally retiring at the age of 80. Surviving Eleanor are her daughters, Katherine John Bair of Plainwell and Jean Richard Wills of Portland, OR.; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were, a son, John Densmore in 2004; sister, Esther DeFazio, and; brother, Bud Nielsen. No visitation is scheduled as cremation has taken place. Assisting in the arrangements is the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
