Parchment Passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013. Ellie was born April 5, 1933 in New York City, a daughter of Harley C. and Anna L. Piirto Peasley and was a resident on the Kalamazoo area for many years. She was a Registered Nurse, spending over 39 years at Borgess Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Brown in 2002; her parents; a daughter, Tiffany Brown in 1993; and a brother, Commander Frank Peasley. Ellie is survived by her daughter, Stacy Brown of Parchment; her son, David Brown of Parchment; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. A private family interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1400 W. Milham, Portage, MI 49002 or the Comstock Community Center, 6330 King Highway. Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
