Elaine V. Felden

FELDEN, Elaine V.
of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away October 26, 2009 at Bronson Hospital. She was born September 24, 1927 in St. Joseph, Michigan, to the late Hugo and Emma Kaeding Ewald. Elaine was united in marriage to George Felden, who preceded her in death in 1996. Elaine enjoyed her volunteer work at the Discovery Shop for American Cancer Society and was active with Kalamazoo Ladies Library Guild. Surviving Elaine are her children, John Felden of Kalamazoo and Joann Jon Schmuke of Ballwin, MO; grandchildren, Jon Maryanne Schmuke, Tom Jennifer Schmuke and Mike Christie Schmuke; seven great grandchildren; sister, Betty Weber, and; several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Louise Weber and Eleanor Gorski, and; brother, Paul Ewald. Services will take place Thursday, 11:00, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd., Kalamazoo, where family will greet friends from 9:30 - 11:00. Rev's Timothy Seeber and Tim Couch will officiate services. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan will follow a luncheon. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or Disability Resource Center, 517 E.
