Elaine F. Cail

CAIL, Mrs. Elaine F. Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday morning July 6, 2010 at her residence. Elaine was born May 24, 1933 in Peabody, Massachusetts a daughter of John and Theresa Tkachook Mentus. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 12 years and was employed with Michigan Bell for 33 years before retiring. Elaine was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Kalamazoo . She also was a resident of Tekonsha, MI for over 22 years. There she ministered with her husband at Tekonsha Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. On July 16, 1960 , she was united in marriage to Rev. John F. Cail who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Leonard Cail of Comstock and Tanya Roger Leach of Cassopolis, MI; her former daughter-in-law, Lisa Smith Troy of Schoolcraft; 4 grandchildren, Makenzie and Ian Cail, and Jonathan and Anna Leach; and 2 brothers, Charles Margaret Mentus of Arden, NC and John Joyce Mentus of Providence, RI. A memorial service will be held 3:00 o'clock Friday, 16th at the First Baptist Church, 315 W. Michigan Ave. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program or the First Baptist Church of Kalamazoo.
