WOODHAMS, Edward J.
Fulton, MI Edward James Woodhams died Friday, February 3, 2012 at his home. He was born August 2, 1921, in Shasta, CA, a son of William and Priscilla Jackson Woodhams. Following the death of his father and two of his siblings, Ed's mother relocated the family to Kalamazoo. Ed lived the majority of his life in Texas Township. As a young man, Ed was a Golden Gloves boxer and a roller skating expert. He owned and operated General Insulation, Inc. for over 62 years and was a life long member of the Home Builder's Association of Greater Kalamazoo. Ed also was active with the Texas Township government for over 50 years. He was a member and associate pastor of Resurrection Life Church. He moved to Fulton in 2005. On May 9, 1942, Ed was united in marriage with the former Katherine Hustafa who preceded him in death on December 7, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by Paul and Ruth Muinch, Susan Muinch and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, where services will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Robert Burnworth, officiating. Burial in Virgo Cemetery will follow services. In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice or Resurrection Life Church.
