Edward George Mintern

MINTERN, Edward George Edward George Mintern, age 96, went home to be with his Lord on June 14, 2012. Ed was born October 7, 1915 in Corey, MI, the son of Benjamin and Mabel Gorbutt Mintern. A lifelong Kalamazoo area resident, he was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Ed was employed at Sutherland Paper Co., Harding's Market, was Taxman for over 45 years and in retirement delivered Flashes Newspapers and continued working at Harding's Market. He married Leona Bradley who preceded him in death in 2003. Surviving are his children, David, Barbara, June and Rosemary; step-children, Larry, Marlene and Charlotte; sister, Alice; many grandchildren and his church family. Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, June 22nd at Bethlehem Baptist Church 2031 E. Cork St. Visitation will be at the church from 12-1 PM Friday. Memorials may be directed to the church.
