Edward Bruce Mazurkiewicz, age 83, passed away December 18, 2020 at Woodside at Friendship Village in Kalamazoo. Edward was born April 22, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Edward S. and Julia E. (May) Mazurkiewicz. He was a graduate of Ferris State University and received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of Michigan, graduating with full honors. From 1963 until his retirement in 1995, Edward worked as a Pharmacist with first Borgess Medical Center and later the majority of years with Bronson Methodist Hospital. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and motorcycles throughout the years.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; by both of his sisters: Katheryn Warnelo and Doris Szczepanek; and a niece Patrice Salinas. Surviving are a niece and nephews: Deborah Ballew of Austin, TX, Richard (Pat) Szczepanek of Grand Haven, MI, Gerald (Lori) Warnelo of Sarasota, FL, Randal (Valorie) Warnelo of Hobe Sound, FL and James (Laura) Warnelo of Sarasota, FL; several grand nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Edward's wishes cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI. Memorials in Edward's memory may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
