of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away at his home on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Age 55. Edward was born in Benton Harbor, MI on May 24, 1959, the son of the late Edward Salak and Mildred Reznicek Salak. He graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic High School in St. Jospeh, class of 1977. He then attended Lake Michigan College and Western Michigan University. He worked in the landscaping industry and enjoyed working on model trains and model airplanes. He is survived by his former wife, Pamela Salach Salak; two daughters, Laura Mal Riddell of San Antonio, TX and Katie Salak of Portage; one brother, Louis Salak of Stanton, MI; one aunt, Marta Reznicek of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics of Michigan Area 16.
