of Kalamazoo Passed away September 27, 2010 at home. He was born November 13, 1961 in Kalamazoo, to Edward P. and Marjorie J. Cole DeBoer. Eddie loved life. He liked to fish and play pool, and talk with others. Eddie enjoyed his job as a roofer. Surviving Eddie are; his life partner, Vicky Merrifield; stepson Jimmy Merrifield of Alabama; 3 grandchildren, Melissa, Steven and Raymond; his mother and step-father, Marjorie Glen Belanga of Lawton; sisters, Kathy LaMarr Brooks, Karen DeVries and Karol DeBoer all of Lawton, MI; stepsister, Lisa Belanga; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Eddie in death was his father, Edward DeBoer; stepson Steven Marrifield and stepmother Kay DeBoer. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, 1:00 o'clock at First Christian Church, 119 N. Niles St., Paw Paw, MI 49079. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Memorials in Eddie's name may be directed to Heartland Hospice Service, 800-590-4329.
