KNAPP, Mrs. Edna Marie ?Petie? Comstock, MI Died Monday morning July 30, 2007. Edna was born March 11, 1920 in Cicero, Wisconsin a daughter of Vernon and Elizabeth Martin Peck. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Comstock Public Schools for 12 years before retiring. Years ago she taught in the Climax Public Schools. She was a member of the Sunnyside United Methodist Church. She was also active with the Comstock Community Center and Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth; 2 brothers, Joseph and Vernon Peck; and 2 sisters, Lois Owens and Francis Press. On December 31, 1944, she was united in marriage to Wesley L. Knapp who survives. Also surviving, a son, Michael Bonnie Knapp of Galesburg; 5 grandchildren, Michael Stephanie Knapp, Wesley Carrie Knapp, Gregory and Jason Knapp, and Paul Berky; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Xavier, Dylan, Colin, and Brendon; 2 sisters, Marjorie Ollia of Princeton, MA and Phyllis Curtis of Manistee, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10 o?clock Thursday at the Sunnyside United Methodist Church, 2800 Gull Rd. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes or the Sunnyside United Methodist Church.
