Edgar Octavio Montenegro Jr.

Edgar Octavio Montenegro Jr., fondly known as Eddie, age 32 of Wayland, passed away on February 15, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1992, an early Christmas gift to his parents Joi Sparks and Edgar Montenegro Sr. in Naval Base Charleston, South Carolina.

Eddie was known for his beautiful smile and infectious laughter, kind spirit and his unwavering passion for sports, movies, FIFA, and especially the Green Bay Packers, “Go Pack Go!”

He was dedicated to his job at Gun Lake Casino and cherished his time spent with family and friends.

Eddie is survived by his mom Joi and his Pop’s Rob, father Edgar, sister Ally (Gabriel), brother Dylan (Miss So So), Nephews Elijiah, Hazel, and Benjie, and countless beloved family and friends who will forever remember his warmth and generosity.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Home 3926 S. 9th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009 on Monday, February 24, 2025. Friends are invited to visit with Eddie’s family from 3PM to 4PM when the memorial service begins, more visiting time will follow the service until 6PM.
