WEIMASTER, Earl
Of Kalamazoo Died August 13, 2010 at 103 years old. Earl was born on March 24, 1907 in Chelsea, MI. He moved to Kalamazoo from Howell, MI. in 1929 and began a motor freight hauling business. In 1932 his twin brother, Meryl, joined him in partnership. Earl also manufactured "house trailers" from 1932 to 1938. With Meryl, they operated the International Harvester and Jeep dealerships. Earl was also an independent real estate broker and as such constructed and operated the Y-Master Motor Inn. Earl enjoyed travel, boating, camping and fishing. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a 32 Degree Mason. Earl was also a long time member of the Kalamazoo Country Club. Earl's wife, Helen Jean and a brother, Jack survive. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, two nieces and their husbands, and two nephews. His sister, Marjorie, and brother, Meryl, preceded him in death. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:00am, at the Covenant Church of Kalamazoo, 5708 E. Main Street with Pastor John Kepler officiating.
