RANDLES, Earl G.
of Kalamazoo Earl Gleen Randles, a resident of Heartland Nursing Home of Kalamazoo, died July 9, 2011. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on November 15, 1933 and was the fourth son of Rosa Shoulders Randle and Sullavan Randle, Sr. Earl had an ?S? added to his last name when he joined the United States Air Force in 1955. His wife, Alberta Chamberlain Randles, preceded him in death on April 29, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister, Mable Brown, his brothers, Sullavan Jr., Woodard, Jake and Harvey Randle, Sr. of Okmulgee. He is survived by a brother, Lawrence Randle of Oklahoma City; his children, Elizabeth Patrick Randles-Lawrence of Blakeslee, PA, Timothy Randles of Lansing, Peter Velvet Randles of Radcliff, KY, Monique Partlow of Kalamazoo and Jason Antoinette Randles of Indianapolis, IN; a sister-in-law, Joanne Jake Randle, Dowagiac, MI; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Earl was a member of the Benton Harbor Chapter of the American Legion Post and was a long time employee of Auto Specialties in Benton Harbor, MI. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S, Burdick St., with Pastor Greg R. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
