Of Kalamazoo Dwight passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008. He was born May 10, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the son of Henry and Winifred Wynne Hendrichsen and has been a lifelong resident. During the Korean War era he served in the U.S. Navy. Dwight was a member of the Kalamazoo Eagles Lodge #536. He enjoyed going up north, hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, working on cars, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. On August 24, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Elsie Mae Padgett who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dwight Joanna Hendrichsen, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, and Scott Lorri Hendrichsen of Mattawan; three grandchildren, Kelly Chris Easter, Kristin and Sarah Hendrichsen; three great-grandchildren, C.J. Deem, Zhion Easter and Kaden Goff; brothers and sisters, Carol Bill Barton, Walter Mary Hendrichsen, Eileen Ron Bagley, Don Sandy Hendrichsen, Jerry Marie Conroy, Dan Melody Conroy and Vicki Roger Myhre; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday with Pastor Greg VanHeukelom officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
