Of Paw Paw Passed away Tuesday morning, February 23, 2010. Duane was born November 25, 1948 in Kalamazoo the son of William E. and Lorraine DeBoer. Duane was a graduate of Parchment High School class of 1967. He was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country in Vietnam. Duane retired from Meijers in 1997 and became an over the road truck driver. He was preceded in death by his father, William in 1996. Surviving are his mother, Lorraine; brothers and sister, Bill Ruth DeBoer, Kurt Cheryl DeBoer, Pat Allen Pedersen; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 12:30 Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may meet the family Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the Westside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association. www.langelands.com
