Dr. Thomas R. Berglund, M.D.

BERGLUND, Dr. Thomas R., M.D. Kalamazoo Passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in Snowmass, CO. Dr. Berglund was born on January 17, 1934 in Newberry, MI, a son of Victor and Marjorie Cowell Berglund and lived in Kalamazoo for over 50 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and practiced medicine in Kalamazoo for 48 years. On June 22, 1956, he married Jill Kent, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Tracy Thomas, Jr. Curran of Ada, MI and Thomas, Jr. Nancy Berglund of Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren, Thomas III and Timothy Curran; Fidanka, Evvianna, Thomas III and Jacob Berglund; Emily, Amanda and Rachel Jackson; his brother, Daniel Sue Berglund, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dr. Victor Berglund; and a sister, Doris Williamson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 247 West Lovell St., at 11:00 AM with The Very Rev. Rebecca Crise officiating.
