Dr. Jerald T. Finnegan

FINNEGAN, Dr. Jerald T. Of Portage Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and pediatrician passed away Monday morning, September 24, 2007. Jerry was born September 19, 1941 the son of Thomas and Margaret Wenslivitis Finnegan. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1971. Jerry was a graduate of Morningside College and the University of Iowa Medical School. Jerry was employed with the Borgess Health Allience where he was a Pediatrician with Promed Pediatrics. He was known for his wry sense of humor and always putting the needs of others before his own. Jerry was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking. On May 24, 1969 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Judy Konkle who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Peter Heather Finnegan, Margaret Ian Boynton; a grandson, Patrick; and his mother, Margaret Mary Finnegan. Services will be held 11:00 o?clock Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd with Pastor Tim Seeber officiating. Friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Private interment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
