formerly of Kalamazoo Passed away November 9, 2009 in Kalamazoo. He was born July 4, 1942 in Kalamazoo, to the late C.L. and Avis Brown Barber. Doug was married to the former Paula Myrick, who survives. Doug loved people and always sought to encourage them. Also surviving Doug are his daughters, Lisa Bill Turrell and Julie Michael Cloud, both of Tulsa, OK, and Cindy Barber of Schoolcraft; six grandchildren, and; two great grandsons; brother, Lynden Barber; sister, Beverly Bob Kirk, and; nieces and nephews. No visitation is scheduled. A Memorial service will take place on Thursday, 11:00 at Valley Family Church, 2600 Vincent Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49024 Cathedral is located on the west end of the property. Pastor Jeff Jones will officiate and a luncheon will follow services. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
