Douglas M. Anderson

ANDERSON, Douglas M. Portage Passed away August 21, 2007 at home in Portage. Doug was born May 25, 1951 in Kalamazoo, to the late William and Jean Wallet Anderson. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict, until medically discharged in November of 1971. On February 22, 1985, Doug was united in marriage to Sharon Thames who survives. He enjoyed car racing and all other motor sports, along with the companionship of his dogs and cats. But, above all else, Doug loved traveling and vacationing with his family. Surviving Doug is his; daughter, Lisa Anderson of Portage; stepson, Cody Pacic; daughter-in-law, Katie Pacic and granddaughter, Alexis. The family will greet friends on Thursday, August 23rd, from 6-8:00PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., Portage. Services will take place at Portage United Methodist Church on Friday, 1:00PM, Pastor John Moore, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family in support of his daughter?s continuing college education.
