Dorothy Johannah Terpstra

TERPSTRA, Mrs. Dorothy Johannah Kalamazoo, MI Went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning October 31, 2006. Dorothy was born April 28, 1922 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of John and Jennie Triestram Smith. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was member of the Trinity Reformed Church for over 40 years. She also enjoyed baking and cake decorating for her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cornelius ?Casey? Terpstra on October 5, 2000; an infant son, Donald Lee Terpstra in 1943; and a brother, Fred Smith. She is survived by 3 children, Janet Dr. Michael Bush of Linwood, NJ, and Linda James Clarey and Betty David Allemang all of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, James Teresa Clarey, Lisa Clarey, Terri Brent Beerens, Kevin Elizabeth Bush, and Kristin and Emily Allemang; 5 great-grandchildren, Benjamen Clarey, Curtis Buckalew, Justin Beerens; Amanda Rose Beerens, and Hannah Jo Clarey; a sister-in-law, Harriet Smith of Kalamazoo; a brother-in-law, Bud Wellington of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o?clock Friday at the Trinity Reformed Church, 326 West Cork St. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or the Trinity Reformed Church Children?s Library Fund.
