STALEY, Mrs. Dorothy E.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday morning December 7, 2010. Dorothy was born September 15, 1928 in Clio, Michigan a daughter of Arnold and Eva Lacy Anderson. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1994 coming from Montrose, MI. She was employed with the Montrose Community Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1988. Dorothy was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church and recently attended the Oshtemo United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Harry Baker Post #367 in Montrose, MI. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Anderson in 1990; and a sister, Amy Terry. On November 18, 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Staley who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Penny Tom Olvitt of Vicksburg and Bim Lorraine Staley of Jones, MI; 4 grandchildren, Daniel, Kurt, and Tanner Olvitt, and Cory Staley; a sister, Dolores Hitz of Florida; twin brothers, Ronald Nancy Anderson and Roland Sue Anderson all of Clio, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Montrose United Methodist Church.
