Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007. She was born June 14, 1920 in Kalamazoo the daughter of James H. and Nellie Sheen Pillars and had been a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. Dorothy had been a member of the Westwood Church of God for over 60 years and had been a Sunday School teacher for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Raymond Pillars and Herschel Pillars; her sisters, Velma Blank, Marjorie Noteboom and Martha Berry. Dorothy is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Chapel of Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge on Friday, beginning at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to the Westwood Church of God, 811 Gorham Lane, Kalamazoo, MI 49006.
