KIDD, Mrs. Dorothy M.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Saturday evening July 14, 2012. Dorothy was born December 16, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Lewis and Doris Hubbard Gould. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Gibson Guitar Company for 20 years before retiring. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Linden R. Kidd on April 6, 2003; a son, James Kidd; 2 sisters, Shirley and Mary; and 2 brothers, Louise and Clarence. She is survived by a daughter, Dianna Miller of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Brandi and Mike Scheppelman, Michael and Janice Kidd, Jeremy Kidd, Jason and Abbey Kidd, and Jamie Kidd; 5 great-grandchildren, Parris, Jace, Sebastin, Jordan Scheppelman, and Jordan Jager; 2 sisters, June James VandenBos of Climax and Linda DeLoy Homan of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
