CLAPP, Dorothy Mae
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Monday morning, February 20, 2012. Dorothy was born December 11, 1920 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Edward and Mae Bowersox Ruchlinsky. Prior to her retirement Dorothy was employed for 30 years with WL Molding Co. She was a member of Third Reformed Church now Centerpoint, and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and volunteering with the Discovery Cancer Shop. Dorothy was united in marriage to her loving husband, Martin G. Clapp, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruth Hekman; and a nephew, Edward Hekman. She is survived by her son David and Victoria Clapp, 2 grandchildren, Karen and Andrea Johnson, Karna and David Meyer; and a great grandson, J.D. Meyer; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 1:00 until the time of service. A private family committal service will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
