Battle Creek Passed away April 23, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born November 26, 1928 in Pennfield Twp., Battle Creek, to the late John and Martha Keeler Klon. She was united in marriage to Charles Book on December 13, 1947. Charles preceded her in death in September of 2012. Surviving Dorothy are her children, Gordon Laura Book, Dennis Book, Nancy Dan Slager and Suann Charles Newman; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Also preceding Dorothy in death were a grandson, Robert Book; and brothers, Gussie and Robert Klon and Kenneth Smith. A special thank you to nieces Barbara and Linda. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., from 10 - 11am, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow. Committal service will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 1:00 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the cemetery funeral assembly area between 12:45 - 1:00.
