Doris L Walmer

WALMER, Doris L. Kalamazoo Mrs. Walmer passed away at home Thursday morning, March 15, 2007. She was born October 21, 1911 in Ithaca, the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie McVicker Loomis. Doris was employed by Michigan Bell for 42 years until her retirement in 1974. On January 15, 1942, she was united in marriage to Clarence Walmer in Kalamazoo, who preceded her in death on December 15, 1987. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, Carl McVicker and John Loomis; and two sisters, Violet Jessup and Rena Weber. Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Littlejohn; three grandchildren, David Owen, Lorraine Stephens, and SuAnn Elhabrush; nine great-grandchildren, Eric Owen, Nicholas Owen, Joshua Cowels, Chad Cowels, Yousif Elhabrush, Nurie Elhabrush, Qasim Elhabrush, and Carissa Stephens; and one great-great-grandson, Michael Owen. Services for Mrs. Walmer will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday tomorrow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel, 3941 S. Westnedge Avenue.
