TAYLOR, Doris Marie Of Kalamazoo, formerly of Grand Rapids Doris went to join her Heavenly family on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born October 24, 1913 to Harvey J. and Belva Hathaway Cronkhite in Allegan. She graduated from Allegan High School and attended County Normal to become a teacher. She taught in early years and then was involved in numerous businesses with her husbands. Upon retirement, she became a long and dedicated volunteer; assisting with the Gift Shop at Three Rivers Hospital, and during her years in Grand Rapids served as a docent at the Voigt House and was a long standing volunteer at Meijer Gardens, Blodgett Hospital and the Gerald R. Ford Museum. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mahlon Davidsmeyer of Allegan, James Wyatt of Three Rivers and most recently Harold Taylor of Grand Rapids. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Aleta Cronkhite who died in infancy and Ruth Kuehn; two brothers, Ivan and Philip Cronkhite. She is survived by Harold's two children and three grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19th from 1-2 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street where a service to celebrate Doris' life will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dan Minor of Parchment United Methodist Church officiating. A private interment will be held in Poplar Hill Cemetery in Allegan.
