Dorine Edith Walker, 88, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born October 29th, 1932, the middle child of August and Beatrice (Coleman) Maifert in Battle Creek, MI. Dorine attended and graduated from Battle Creek Schools.
She met the love of her life James "Jim" Walker of Galesburg, MI. They were married July 31, 1952 and made Galesburg their home for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1982; son, Joe in 2012; son-in-law, Guy Neale in 2020; her parents; and 2 sisters Corrine and Eleanor.
Dorine is survived by her 3 daughters, Vickie Neale of Kalamazoo and Nancy and Donna Walker of Galesburg; daughter-in-law, Joyce Walker of Pleasant Prairie, WI; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and special niece, Shirley.
Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held in Fort Custer National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Jim.
