Donna J. Stewart

Donna Jean Stewart died Monday, June 12, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was born January 24, 1944, in Kalamazoo MI, a daughter of Donald J. and Jean (Dare) Cannon and had been a lifelong area resident.

One of Donna’s favorite pastimes was reading, she loved her books.  In her early years she was an avid bowler, and enjoyed bowling in a league. When she had time between her five children, she liked to draw/sketch. She loved her dog Kita and spoiled that dog rotten. Donna worked several years as a CNA, and was never afraid of hard work.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching them play baseball, football, swimming and volleyball.   She was always so proud of them, yelling the loudest in the stands. Her favorite candy in the world were tootsie rolls. Donna was a social butterfly, she loved being around people and making new friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mark Tucker; two brothers, Dale and Donald; and a sister, Dawn. She is survived by her children, Laurie Nance, Randy (Dollie) Tucker, Stephanie (Michael) Britton, and Melissa Parrish; grandchildren, Timothy J. Tutt, Jr., Kelly Tutt, Lacie Tutt, Misty Brown, Ryan(Kelsey) Britton, Mitchell Britton, Krystal (Doug) Underwood, Kyle Fales, Brad Fales; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim, Tony, Scott, and Jeannie; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, September 22, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:30 pm in Haven Church, 5350 N Sprinkle Rd, Kalamazoo MI 49004. Please bring a dish to pass.
