KITSMILLER, Donna M.
Of Kalamazoo Donna went to be with the Lord and her beloved son, Ricky, on Saturday morning, June 2, 2012. She was born April 20, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Bertina Watson Allworth. Donna was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo and was employed by Kalamazoo Public Schools Food Service for 17 years until her retirement. Donna was a fun loving person who enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, her family, and the company of her many special friends. Surviving are her devoted husband, Harold "Cap" Kitsmiller, whom she shared 64 loving years of marriage. Also surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Cal Olinger and Nancy and Scott Field; three grandsons, Cal Olinger, Jr., Nicholas Olinger, and Blair and Emily Field; one great-grandson, Dane Field; two sisters, Lettie Eager and Mary Lou Rose; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Jim Rogers and Joyce and Lloyd Santee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her son, Ricky Kitsmiller; sister, Eleanor Sagert; and three brothers, Harold, Robert, and Durwood Allworth. Funeral services for Donna will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Friendship Wesleyan Church, 1285 102nd Avenue, Plainwell, with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 PM on Monday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. Memorial contributions may be directed to Friendship Wesleyan Church or Borgess Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
