WALDRON, Mr. Donald E.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Saturday morning July 31, 2010. Donald was born February 18, 1922 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Raymond C. and Leeta M. Williamson Waldron. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. Donald was employed with the Allied Paper Company for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather that cherished the time with his grandchildren. For many years, he enjoyed golfing and deer hunting. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 61 years, Josephine Waldron on February 27, 2008; an infant son, Thomas; 2 brothers, Raymond and Paul; 3 sisters, Vivian, Donna, and Lillian; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He is survived by a son, William E. Starr Waldron of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Nicholas E. Waldron and Colby D. Waldron; 3 brothers, James, Robert "Bobby", and Wayne; 3 sisters, Marilyn, and twins, Pauline and Darlene; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4pm Monday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. The family would like to thank the staff at Crystal Woods for their loving care of Don during his stay.
