Died November 24, 2010 at his residence. Don was born October 24, 1924 in Toledo, OH, a son of Ralph and Lorraine Brown and was raised in Sturgis, MI by his adoptive parents Fred and Inez Tuttle. He honorably served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Prior to Don's retirement in 1987, he was employed as a Plumbing and Heating Union Plumber for 21 years and later worked part time at the Hotop Company. Don served on the church board at the First Church of the Nazarene and was currently attending the Lighthouse Community Church. On August 29, 1964, Don was married to the former Marian Wilson, who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Linda Warren Giggy of Sturgis, Connie Richard Dideriksen of Schoolcraft and Doug Tuttle of Schoolcraft; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers-in-law, Lavan Beverly Wilson of Lansing, Robert Wilson of Michigan Center and a sister-in-law LaVerne Spicer. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at the Lighthouse Community Church, 4321 S. 11th St. with Pastors Mark Swank and Michael Harris officiating. Friends may meet the family Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. and one hour before the service at church. Memorial contributions in Don's memory may be made to Hospice Care of S.W. Michigan or the Lighthouse Community Church.
