TOBIN, Donald W.
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday evening, December 20, 2007. Don was born March 27, 1916 in Wayland, MI the son of John and Cornelia Watkins Tobin. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement he worked for 33 years at the Battle Creek Veteran?s Hospital. Don was a member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church; and an active member of the Comstock VFW Post #6252. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing to his favorite Bluegrass Country music. He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise, second wife, Verna, and his third wife, Betty. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Surviving are 6 children, Sandra Serna, Carol Boisseau, Larry Cheryl Tobin, Richard Barbara Tobin, Mary Nicholas Mitchell, Nancy Kim Aspgren; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Eileen Huver, Sister Prisicilla, Hazel Scobey; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1:00 o?clock Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick with Rev. Fr. Robert Sirico, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6-8pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the chapel. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. www.langelands.com
