Of Lawton, MI Went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 14, 2012. Age 87 years. Dean was born on June 6, 1925 in Williamsburg, WV, the son of the late Franklin and Stella Hensworth Stewart. He served with the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mattawan. He was a devoted to his family and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Dean was married to Joanne Ruark Stewart in 1959; she preceded him in death in 2002. Surviving are his daughter, Kathy Jerry Brittan of Mattawan; his grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Kevin and Luke all of Mattawan; his twin brother, Ronald Eugene Stewart of Dearborn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Stewart; one sister, Naomi "Peg" Huber; and three brothers, Ivan Stewart, Harry Stewart and Frank Stewart. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m.. Pastor Steve Nichols will officiate.
