formerly of Portage Don passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at his home in Knoxville, TN. He was born July 24, 1946 in Kalamazoo, the son of Peter and Bernice James Roll. Don was employed by Fabri-Kal for 23 years and DesignWare for 13 years until his retirement. On May 1, 1993, he was united in marriage to Dianne Ussery in South Carolina, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Robin Ken Wesley of Portage, Roy Kris Shepherd of South Carolina and Christy Hart Page of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Roll of Arkansas; sister, Shirley Carl Muir of Boone, MI. Graveside services for Don will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Comstock Cemetery 26th Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society.
