Donald L. Prevost

Donald L. Prevost, 86, formerly of Alpena, passed away Tuesday evening, October 28, 2014 at Bickford Cottage in Portage, MI. Don was born on July 2, 1928 in Alpena, the son of the late Clarence and Evelyn Badder Prevost and married Eva C. Neumann on July 2, 1960. After 48 years of marriage, Eva Prevost preceded him in death on January 14, 2009. Don served on the Wilson Township Volunteer Fire Department, was a charter member of the Mixt Nutz Hunt Club and was member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Herron. After 23 years of service, he retired from Alpena CRTC as Supervisor of the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Surviving are his daughter, Donna Brian Dault of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Brendon of Peoria, IL and Dylan of St. Joseph; brother, Arlington Prevost of Alpena; three sisters, Carolyn Ritthaler, Carol Prevost and Dixie Crevier all of Alpena; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, November 14 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Herron. Interment in the King Settlement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sunrise Mission in Alpena or the American Diabetes Association.
