MUSSELMAN, Donald E.
Of Kalamazoo Don passed away July 9, 2011 at Bronson Methodist Hospital and went to his heavenly home. He was born November 20, 1932 in Kalamazoo, the son of Henry and Phyllis Davis Musselman. On April 10, 1952, Don was united in marriage to Evelyn Ritsema. He was employed by The Upjohn Co. for 39 years until his retirement in 1990. Don was an active member of Grace Christian Reformed Church, where he served as an elder, deacon, and Cadet Leader. Don liked to read, travel and was very artistic enjoying drawing and painting. He also liked spending time at Sandy Pines where he served on the Chapel committee. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Musselman; their 3 children, Sharon Musselman of Kalamazoo, Ronald Debrah Musselman of Lawton and Lynn Scott Lemmer of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren, Amy Scott Arnold, Andrew Jennifer Baareman, Michael Michelle Musselman, Matthew Chelsea Musselman, Tara Todd Knudsen, Kristin Lemmer and Kyle Lemmer; 8 great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Hayden, Alexis, Noah, Brooklyn, Jocelyn, Savannah, and Harper; 4 brothers, Robert Marilyn Musselman of Portage, Dick Maggie Musselman of Hopkins, John Marylynn of Ocala, FL, and Bill Joanne Musselman of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and 2 great-grandchildren, Riley and Kenzie. The Musselman family wishes to convey a special thank you to the staff at Bronson Hospital for all the care given to Don. Funeral services for Don will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 1724 Whites Road, with Rev. Greg Timmer officiating. Private interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Christian Reformed Church, Kalamazoo Christian School Association, or Rehoboth Christian School.
