MULLEN, Donald Jay "Danny"
Of Three Rivers Passed away Wednesday morning, January 13, 2010. Donald was born March 8, 1923 in Riverside, MI the son of Corneulis and Cecelia Blett Mullen. He was a veteran serving in the South Pacific during World War II. In 1946 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 62 years, the former Deloris Olson, who preceded him in death in 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel; step father, William Pratt; 3 sisters, Helen, Donna Jean, Kate; and a brother Kenneth. Prior to his retirement in 1980 he was an ironworker and member of the Ironworkers Local 340. Don enjoyed going to dog shows, mule shows, and camping. He is survived by his son, Duane Mullen; step-son, Herbert Marilyn Loveland; grand-daughter, Donna Les Turner; great-grandson, Daniel; daughter-in-law, Valery Mullen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held 1:00 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Tuesday. Friends may meet the family Friday from 5-7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
