Donald L. Kinney

KINNEY, Mr. Donald L. Climax, MI Died Saturday morning September 15, 2007 at his residence. Donald was born March 10, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Elmer and Johanna DeBruin Kinney. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Yellow Freight Trucking before retiring. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local #7 for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. In 2001, he was united in marriage to Diane Kay Frisbie Kinney who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Scott JoAnn Kinney of Allegan and Jodie Matt Corliss of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Kennedy of Allegan; 3 brothers, Elmer Nancy Kinney of Stanton, MI, James ?Tim? Lynn Kinney of Kalamazoo, and Phil Mary Kinney of Delton; a special cousin, Jack DeBruin of Traverse City; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Thursday at the Augusta V.F.W. Post #7956, 13540 West M-96. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program.
