LESTER, Dolores J. Nutter
OF Kalamazoo Dolores went home to be with her Lord on Monday morning, February 27, 2012 at Alamo Nursing Home. She was born March 2, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Luther and Frances James Anspach. She was employed by James River Corp. for 37 years. She was a member of Oak Grove Church and also attended Haven Church where she was involved in many activities. Dolores was a member of the Lioness Club for many years and the Red Hat Society. She volunteered at Borgess Medical Center and was a very social woman who loved spending time with family and friends. Preceding her in death were her first husband, Richard Nutter, Sr. in 1965; her second husband Robert Lester in 1994; two great-grandchildren; and her parents. Surviving are five children, Diane Bob Dekker of Kalamazoo, Darlene Steve McKay of Gobles, Don Lori Nutter of Plainwell, Richard Nutter Jr. of Delton and Lynne Mike Meredith of Kalamazoo; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis Jack Chase of Allegan, Gladene Pattison of Kalamazoo and Colleen Anspach of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dolores will be at 11:00 am on Friday at Haven Church, 5350 Sprinkle Road, with Rev. Keith Lohman and Rev. David Ives officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3-7 pm on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Private interment will be in West Cooper Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kalamazoo Lioness Club, Oak Grove Bible Church or Haven Church Primetime.
