Difei Liu

Difei, age 37, died unexpectedly on July 5 at Bronson Medical Center. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Xia, and four year old daughter, Emma. Born in Beijing, China, he is the son of Mingjiu Liu and Hong Zhu. He is also survived by his sister Jean Liu, his brother Yongyi Duan, and their families. Difei attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, and Grinnell College in Iowa. He worked in financial management in Iowa, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Nebraska before settling in Michigan last year. He fell in love with Michigan and enjoyed his work as Manager of Consumer Healthcare Business Development at Perrigo. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Monday, July 9, beginning at 10:30 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to the Difei Liu Scholarship Fund, Grinnell College, 737 Broad Street, Grinnell, IA 50112-1690.
